WHY THE ECOLOGICAL FOOTPRINT CALCULATOR?

The Institute for Health and the Environment, in cooperation with the Global Footprint Network, prepared the Slovenian version of the ecological footprint calculator, which calculates the ecological footprint of an individual based on his behavior and habits. It represents the first step towards a greater awareness of the importance of the ecological footprint and also actual changes in the behavior of individuals. The latter can significantly contribute to the achievement of the goal of the Slovenian Development Strategy until 2030 to reduce the ecological footprint per inhabitant.
